Ilia State University (ISU) is a university established in 2006 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The institution was established by merging six different institutions, each with a long history and diverse institutional profile.
It is a leading institution of comprehensive public research and higher education in the South Caucasus, focusing on scientific developments and first-class knowledge transfer to facilitate community development.

The documents required for admission are:

- A clear copy of the school’s graduation certificate (marks sheet).

Admission’s Status :
After you apply, within 7 working days of fulfilling the application requirements, We will send you an official letter of Admission Request from Ilia State University (ISU).
Based on the signed offer letter, The admissions office (AdmissionOfficGe.com) will start the registration procedure.
The procedures for translation, notarization, recognition and registration take about 2-4 weeks.
The university does not have a deadline for admission.
Students can gain admission to join the Fall Academic Session (September Batch) or Spring Academic Session (February/March Batch).
Once the invited applicant submits personal identification and educational documents to Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, The documents will be submitted to the National Center for Education Quality Improvement and to the Ministry of Education and Science for Ministry registration. Once the registration procedure is successfully completed, The university will inform the applicant of the successful registration to study in Georgia.

Dual Exchange Program Opportunities – Since 2012 Ilia State University(ISU) has been offering exchange programs to its students and staff at several international higher education institutions. More than 200 students and staff exchange each year in the ISU. Ilia State University offers its students the exclusive opportunity to obtain a double diploma with different Austrian and American universities.
International projects :
Ilia State University implements several international scientific research projects, including: Tempus – the EU-funded program aimed at promoting higher education reform and cooperation with the partner countries of the European Union. Currently, ISU has 15 Eramus + CBHE projects, 2 as coordinating scholarship/university holders.

ISU has more than 500 partners around the world and was the head of the Black Sea University Network from 2016-2018. ISU was the first institution to award the Georgian degree under the EMJMD CEERES programme.
International Scholarships :
ISU is the first TEMPUS scholarship holder from Georgia. ISU has two projects funded under FP7 and two successful projects under Horizon 2020. The university also has one Jean Monnet Network project and one Jean Monnet chair. Ilia State University recorded more than 30 million gross international scholarships income from 2016 to 2018. Currently, ISU has over 70 ongoing international scholarships.
