Georgian Aviation University (SSU)

It is the only aviation university located in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Institute of Aviation of Georgia was established in 1992, in the structure of the Georgian Technical University. However, in 2005, the Aviation Institute descended from the Technical University and became an independent Georgian Aviation University.

The university is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Recently, the Georgian Aviation University has become a favorite destination for local and international students seeking a career in the aviation industry. The university has several types of aircraft for students, such as the A-22, Cessna-152, Piper Seneca and Boeing 737-200.

The documents required for admission are:

  1. A clear copy of the first page of your passport.
  2. A clear copy of the school’s graduation certificate (marks sheet).
  3. Your Email.

Admission’s Status :

After you apply, within 7 working days of fulfilling the application requirements, We will send you an official letter of Admission Request from Georgian Aviation University (SSU).

Based on the signed offer letter, The admissions office (AdmissionOfficGe.com) will start the registration procedure.

The procedures for translation, notarization, recognition and registration take about 2-4 weeks.

The university does not have a deadline for admission.

Students can gain admission to join the Fall Academic Session (September Batch) or Spring Academic Session (February/March Batch).

Once the invited applicant submits personal identification and educational documents to Georgian Aviation University (SSU), The documents will be submitted to the National Center for Education Quality Improvement and to the Ministry of Education and Science for Ministry registration. Once the registration procedure is successfully completed, The university will inform the applicant of the successful registration to study in Georgia.

For the purpose of promoting theoretical knowledge, students of the third and fourth courses undergo training in various workshops and institutions. The trainees are led by leading industry specialists.

Georgian Aviation University(SSU) has two campuses. The first is in Tbilisi and the second is in Telavi. Georgian Aviation University(SSU) boasts its own airport in Telavi where student flight training is conducted.

For the practical training of professional pilots and aviation specialists in the future, the University is equipped with modern infrastructure and equipment at Telavi, Cessna Airports, Piper seneca, A-22, An-28, Boeing 737-200, EASA FNPT II MCC Aviation Class standards, specialized specialized laboratories and more.

Georgian Aviation University(SSU) supports a healthy lifestyle among students and offers students outdoor sports fields where they can play volleyball, football and other interesting games.

Georgian Aviation University(SSU) offers accommodation for students to live in Tbilisi or the Telavi campus where the university’s airport is located. SSU hostel has single and double bedrooms inside the university building. The hostel is well equipped with a kitchen and laundry room. 24-hour security is provided to students living in the hostel. For $200 (per month) a student can live in an Georgian Aviation University(SSU) Hostel.
